Imagine needing to flee your home and move to another country where you didn’t know anyone – and worse, didn’t speak the language?
Hope English School was set up in 2016, offering free ESOL and digital skills classes to refugees and asylum seekers. When they appealed for a volunteer to help with their social media in 2023, I stepped in, and have been volunteering with them ever since: I create and post content across their social media channels to raise awareness and appeal for support to ensure their valuable work can continue.
